On this page, microfilm numbers and film numbers refer to FHL catalog numbers. For more information, see Family History Library (FHL).

The villages of Stundwiller, Oberroedern, and Aschbach, are very near one another in northern Bas-Rhin (Alsace), France. They share the same Catholic parish, St. George's. Twice in history, once in the mid-1700's and later in the 1970's they briefly merged into a single municipality, but today they are separate.

I transcribed this information from the Aschbach microfilm records beginning in November, 2002. I did not transcribe every record found, only records for families and time periods in which I have an interest. The project is incomplete and still ongoing.
